Charity Quotient
Charity Quotient is a Croeni Foundation’s initiative to increase efficient giving through transparency and advance a more philanthropic civil society.
Transparency about one’s giving encourages others to give more and charity is infectious. The aim of Charity Quotient is to inspire kindness worldwide by making charitable giving transparent. It measures generosity as the sum of total donations in cash and in-kind.
Individuals and organizations can register at the website and track how much money they donated or how many hours they volunteered to make the world a better place. Furthermore, charities and non-for-profits often struggle to retain donors or volunteers. With Charity Quotient, they can reward their benefactors and give them the recognition they deserve. They can upload donations on behalf of their benefactors and thus encourage them to keep giving.
Charity Quotient is a bespoke web app running on Express.js and Node.js. It has numerous custom developed features, such as user management and referral/invite system, ability to create donations and upload their proof, charts that display users’ donation habits, blogging and FAQ system, fully-fledged admin interface, etc. It was fantastic but substantial project that took some time to develop. I was delighted to help Croeni Foundation attempt to bring more clarity to philanthropic giving.
