Plastic Monkey Films
Plastic Monkey Films is an independent film company that produces original innovative film, television, music, commercials and social media video content. Headquartered in Southend, Essex, UK, with outposts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, it was founded by brothers Scott McQuaid and Lawson McQuaid in 2017.
Plastic Monkey Films have produced numerous short films that have screened at UK, Asian and US film festivals and they are working on their first feature film, Space Ninjas, collaborating with some of the most influential cult figures in film to create artistic pop cultural genre-defying cinema.
Additionally, they produce original television and social media commercials by writing, casting and directing the production in order to excite customers about the products and organizations and stir their interest. They also work with theatre companies to help capture the magic on stage with plays, musical theatre and dance performances translated onto screen. Their theatrical sister company ‘Random Theater’ has produced numerous plays that have been shot for public distribution by Plastic Monkey Films.
Plastic Monkey Films needed a relatively simple, but professional website which captured their indie spirit and presented the wide portfolio of their projects. Features include portfolio filter, slideshow of film stills, events section, etc. They also hired me to assist them with design work on Space Ninjas, including the film title and poster, in-movie graphics, and advertising banners.
