Questions and Answers

Jiddu Krishnamurti was an Indian speaker and writer on philosophical and spiritual matters. He often delved into subjects such as psychological revolution, the nature of mind, meditation, inquiry, human relationships, and bringing about radical change in society. He constantly stressed the need for a revolution in the psyche of every human being and emphasized that such revolution cannot be brought about by any external entity—religious, political, or social.

This book presents a collection of Jiddu Krishnamurti’s answers to a multitude of questions from his listeners. The questions were written down and presented to him at meetings with his followers in Brockwood Park, England, Ojai, California, and Saanen, Switzerland. However, he never prepared his answers in advance and rather explored the questions in a spontaneous and intuitive dialogue with his audience.

The topics covered include the self, security, emotions, words, insight, education, pain, truth, violence, hope, creativity, action, fear, reincarnation, death, dissatisfaction, enlightenment, sex, awareness, responsibility, symbols, belief, and freedom.
